So it must have been something else I ate...but I'll check the mix to make sure it's safe. In other news, I tried a modification to the ADB recipe (sacrilege probably ) and it turned out great... Follow the original recipe, but substitute brown sugar and add 1t cinnamon, 1/2t ground cloves and 1/2t allspice to the mixture of cocoa and baking soda. Yummy! The spices come from a cookbook called Chocolate by Nick Maglieri. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing, and I'm hoping to be able to adapt more of his recipes. If they work, I'll let you know!
