I just bought some of the same bread mix you just bought and was going to email you or post you about how you made it. It calls for 2 eggs and 1 egg white or 1 egg and 3 egg whites. Did you substitute and use 5 egg whites?

It also says to use honey or sugar. Did you use the honey. How about the cider vinegar? Do you think regular vinegar is okay.

Now about the oil. 1/3 cup oil sounds like a lot to me too, since fat is a very high trigger for me. I am thinking of either substituting all applesauce or at least 1/2 with applesauce, making it a little ove 2 1/2 Tablespoons of oil. If you divide that by 13 servings it is still over 2 grams of fat per piece with only using 1/2 the oil!

Maybe someone else who has already made this French Bread can help us. Otherwise, I'm returning this because I cannot handle a piece of bread with over 4 grams of fat.

Did you get about 13 pieces from your loaf? If you got more, the fat would be calculated less.
