Regarding safe fish for women who are pregnant (or intend to be one day, like me too), avoid:
Shark
Swordfish
King mackerel
Tilefish
For tuna, go chunk light over albacore.., but keep it to less than 12 oz per week (Assuming you eat no other risky fish)
Cod, haddock, tilapia, flounder, and trout are reasonably safe (as long as you don't eat it every day)...
Salmon is kind of a controversy because of the wild/vs. farm raised thing. Recent studies show farm-rasied have toxins sometimes higher than wild salmon.
To be safe---don't eat skin, and trim away fat if you can.
This is one of the MAIN reasons I wanted to work for the EPA. I love fish, and we can't just eat to our heart's content because we've wrecked the environment. What would be a healthy food, is dangerous because we made it that way.
