Shell’s BBQ Smoked Turkey Sausage Pita Pizzas
2 Pita Pockets 8 Tablespoons BBQ Sauce ¼ of 1 Jennie-O’s Extra Lean Smoked Turkey Sausage or Kielbasa – Diced (remove casing if you can’t tolerate) 4oz Your favorite Soy, Rice, or Almond Cheese either shredded or torn up slices Red Pepper Flakes(opional)
DIRECTONS: Preheat oven to 450 degrees, in a small fry pan sprayed with non stick cooking spray heat the sausage over medium heat about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, spray cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray. Separate 2 pitas making 4 pizza like shapes crusts. Spread each one with 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce, sprinkle with red pepper flakes to taste (optional), divide and top with sausage and cheese. Spray with cooking spray (optional), bake 4-5 minutes. Let cool 1-2 minutes before folding each one in half lengthwise (optional, makes easier to eat).
