How are all of you figuring out the calories in a recipe/portion? For example, last night I made the Baked Chicken, Ginger and Soy recipe (the one with plums but I used peaches per Casey's hint). This is one of our favorite recipes but I have no idea how many calories are in a portion. Do you look up each ingredient in a calorie finder and then divide by the number of people it is supposed to serve? Isn't this really time-consuming but how else would you do it?

Yes, that is what I do... I do the math for ALL ingredients and then note that on the recipe page. Then you divide by how many servings YOU get out of it that time. Then the next time you make it.. your note with the calorie total is already written down. Hope that helps. A great resource for looking up calories is www.calorieking.com

Thanks for any help. I'm really trying to watch my caloric intake and get in shape for summer. Wasn't sure to post this here or on the Fitness Board.
It is a good question for either board....
