Well, I just got an 11-cup food processor for Christmas, and I love it. The nice thing about the processor is that you can chop things with it - like onions! heh - with all the blades and gadgets you can get for it, it's definitely more versatile than a blender. If you do a lot of cooking, I'd say it's worth it.

As for the onions, the only thing that's ever worked for me is to cut the onion next to the sink, with cold water running. I have no idea why this works. LOL!
