Well, I don't know why not either, since it has enough other things to cover up that terrible taste of the rice powder..LOL...Since you recommended it, I'll try it now, but think I will still open a can of the real stuff and compare the two with a (tiny) taste test, before I put it into a recipe. May I ask what you used it in? Kandee
