sub for oil       12/09/04 04:48 PM Edit Reply Quote mom4 Reged: 12/09/04 Posts: 15 Loc: central michigan My mom has a recipe for an Apple cake that is super moist mostly because of the 2 cups of oil in it. It is one of my favorites next to chocolate. I am new to the diet and figuring substitutions. Would applesauce be an appropriate sub with maybe retaining 1/4 cup of the oil? It makes a 9X13 pan size.
