EMMA SAMMS' APPLE CRUMBLE with modifications

Hi fellow happy cookers - Here's a recipe I cut out but haven't tried yet. It does look good:
Emma Samms' Apple Crumble
1 cup brown sugar 5 oz. all purpose white flour 4-6 cups cooking apples (1.5-2 lbs) peeled, cored and thinly sliced 3 tbsp lemon juice 1/2 cup applesauce 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp lemon rind, grated
Combine 1/2 c sugar and 1 oz of flour in mixing bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over sliced apples. Toss apples with sugar mixture. Put in oven proof baking dish.
Thoroughly mix applesauce, remaining flour and cinnamon. Add lemon rind and remaining 1/2 c sugar. Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake inn over at 350 for 30 min or until top is golden. Serve warm.
