Turkey Sausage & Tomato Pasta Sauce from scratch

Really basic and EASY recipe I made up,there are a couple of similar things on the boards.
1 LB turkey sausage (remove casing) 1 can chopped tomatoes 3 medium bell peppers (red or green) 1 clove of garlic minced (or more if you are a real garlic fan) Teaspoon of olive oil 8 mushrooms 1/2 tablespoon Tomato puree 2 bay leaves Sprinkling of Italian Herbs (to taste, Basil, oregano) salt and black pepper
Saute the sausage in a large pot with the peppers for a few minutes in the olive oil(if you like onions you can add as many chopped onions as you like here) Add the mushrooms and saute til all are quite soft. Then add the can of tomatoes, tomato puree, minced garlic,herbs and bay leaf,salt and pepper to taste cover and leave to simmer over a low heat for about 30 minutes. Serve over pasta.
It would also be good mopped up with French bread. YUMMY! I made this tonight and got enough sauce for three large or four regular portions and I froze some for another evening.
