Found this recipe in my Indian cookbook- thought I would share:
1 Tbsp plus 2 tsp black peppercorns 1 Tbsp cardamom seeds 1 Tbsp whole cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1/3 cup ground ginger hot tea boiling water
put first 4 ingr in a mortar and grind to a fine powder(or use a coffee mill). Add ginger and grind again for a few seconds to mix. Add about 1/2 tsp to a pot of tea, leave in a warm place 1-2 minutes to brew.
Store remaining spices in airtight container in dark place for 1-2 months
