Oh yes, definitley bring a crossword/word search book with you or any book you like. Bring a portable CD player if you have one and want to listen to some music, and maybe some earplugs for the nighttime if your hospital doesn't have any. If you're not being drugged down, it's very loud at night in the hospitals so I've always had to wear earplugs. And (I know this is just a bit childish) I always bring one of my sister's coloring books just because coloring always takes my mind off of what I'm doing I hope this helps and that it all goes well.
