No, he didn't mention which ones not to take. He just quizzes me every time to make sure I am not taking any ibuprofen. I do remember that one of the painkillers he said I could take was Ultram.
I hope you get a good diagnosis soon. I remember how frustrating it was when I didn't know what was wrong with me. I feel blessed to have had two wonderful GIs who have always taken my symptoms seriously. Thankfully my current GI just fought my insurance company so I could have a capsule endoscopy. I was willing to let it go because my symptoms have not been that bad yet, and I thought it was probably my IBS. But come to find out, I also have Crohn's in my small intestine. And I have had every test you can have, and my GI is telling me that without this capsule endoscopy he never would have been able to make this diagnosis. So now I have to take different medication, because the Crohn's medications work on different parts of the system. Right now I am only taking Colazal for the Crohn's that is in my colon.
