Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | I've got strep throat and need some cheering up

I'm just here to whine a little, just got back from the doctor and I have strep throat and an ear infection

I'm so annoyed! I had to go to a walk-in clinic so it wasn't even my regular doc, and I tried giving him a quick history of my tummy trouble but he wasn't too interested.

He gave me amoxicillin, said it was the best one that he could prescribe that would work for my throat and that it shouldn't be too hard on the tummy. luckily, I usually tolerate antibiotics fairly well and haven't had a problem with amoxicillin in the past, I'm just concerned becuase I'm so unstable right now.

So, I've upped my probiotic dosage, got lots of soluble fiber soft foods as not much else goes down (thank goodness for mashed potatoes!) and we'll see how it goes. I've got my Lomotil and Tylenol 3s to help with the pain, I figure the codeine in them is constipating so maybe it'll help offset the D.

Anyone have any other suggestions? Wish me luck. I feel so crappy right now I hope they kick in soon and make me better. What next eh?
