I had blood tests done and an ultra sound, all was normal. I know there are a few other tests I could do, but my Doctor thinks I'm too young to have colon cancer so there is no need for that sort of test. It started one day after supper, I was feeling fine, but right after I ate I had "D" as you call it, and didn't know why. I ended up with a severe stomach ache a few days later and couldn't eat or leave the house for a few days. The stomach ache lessoned but I started having this gas pressure inside my stomach. I still couldn't eat much because food would give me almost like "D" cramps as soon as I swallowed it. I got really weak from not eating and always had this dull ache in my belly, so I went to the hosptial. They said I might have an ulcer and prescribed meds. for that. Well I didn;t have an ulcer and those meds. are expensive. Finally I had a couple tests done and the Doc said I probably had IBS. I've been changing my eating habits to mostly what is reccommended on this site. My mother buys the groceries and makes dinner, so it's hard to avoid every "trigger" food. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat though....everything does it to me. I am mostly "C" have only had "D" 2 times in 2 months since I've been diagnosed, but I'm worried that it's only the beginning. My BMs are always different anymore. The most worrysome part is that I feel like I have "D" coming, but either I stop it with the pepto I take or, it's just a regular feeling now when I eat. Digestive enzymes are the only way I can eat anything right now. I'm miserable with this full-achey-belly I'm lugging around all day. It always hurting or gassy or gurgling and crampy 24-7.
