Hi Jen, Great to here you're out and about. Honestly, some people will never, ever "get it" as much as you try to tell them. Even my own family says things to me like "why can't you eat that" or "why does your stomach hurt so much?" after I have finished an 8 hr shift standing on my feet the whole time...yeah, some will never quite get it...but you know what? You have to put yourself first, like you've said before and there's no use worrying about what everyone else thinks! Its difficult but I've learned to try and do the best I can, when I can, and as much as I can. Theres really nothing more we can do! Hope you're physio appt goes well, let us know p.s. what were you thinking messing up their lives will your chronic illness. Geeeez....
