I know Purdue is in state for you and all, but I just love that school, and the campus is beautiful. It was between that and Uof Illinois for me, but I loved Purdue's campus a lot more. I still go there to football games to meet my old roommates. I miss it! I went for engineering, and yeah - it's expensive, but I was out of state too. It's good that you know what you want to do - I went through 4.5 years of engineering, studied my butt off and worked SO hard - I only got one B! And now I really just don't like it. I want to work with kids! I just feel SO bad that I spent so much to study something that I don't think I'll do my whole life. SO- bottom line - it's really awesome if you know for sure what you want to do. I know a couple people from your area - I'm sure it's too big to know them - but I'll run the names by you - Jake Fetters, Jason Lougheed, Jon White....
