I had to have mine removed, it was full of stones. I had no choice, and now that she mentions it, I had adhesions too, and I hurt for a long time also. Laparscopic is the only way to go, I dont think they do it the other way unless it is an emergency and just cannot be avoided. My GI told me that it takes a year for the body with Ibs to recover.
