I know there are little quakes almost everywhere in this world but normally not felt. Funny thing is, animals can sense their arrival faster than we can. We live less than 40 miles from where the Lander's quake was, I think, in 1993 or 94. It was 7.2 (Big Bear, close by settled out at I think 6.7) but the aftershocks numbered over 500 in one day. Amazing. I was not in CA but in Arizona and felt it over there. My hubby was home and said it was like getting off a moving roller coaster to get out of the house. I had to come home to CA a different way than what I normally do because the road had just opened up that I normally took. When we get a good one here, after the rolling or jolting stops we guestimate where the epicenter was. Sometimes we're pretty much on it depending on how hard it hit us. I can't tell you how many times I've bolted out of bed, to run outside and hit the ground. Good thing I wear jammies! LOL... Kandee -------------------- Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
