I can't imagine what it could be; that bruising thing sounds very strange. Are they not healing? Where did they come from? It would seem to me that would be some kind of clue to a doctor of something.
If your doctors aren't helping you, keep looking for another. I don't know how it works in Canada, but here, if we're not satisfied with our doctor, we find another!
Why don't you post this in the IBS Diet board? Heather might have some insight for you, and I don't think she ever comes into the Living Room, so she won't see this (unless it's posted over there). Also, you'll get a lot more responses from others who might have experienced these symptoms. They don't sound familiar to me; I'm sorry, I wish I could help more.
