Probably not an IBS question at all but here goes. A good friend of mine, who is mid 50's, was just doing hunky dory. Then this last year her hair starting falling out in clumps and what hair she did have left which was brown with a bit of grey starting losing all it's pigment and turning completely white. Now her white hair is almost all gone. The doctors, and she has been to many, havne't a clue and all her tests come back okay, thyroid, etc, etc. She is most certainly entering menopause but doctors tell her it's probably from stress. Now she tells me she is having bouts of diahhrea and different foods bothering her so she is starting to eat organic and that seems to help her tummy a bit. I hope she isn't getting IBS on top of everything else. Does anyone else have major hair loss associated with their IBS?? I can't get it out of my mind that there isn't some association with hormones and IBS.
