Thank you for the lovely things you said though I definately don't think I'm amazing and sometimes I'm very close to giving in and taking meds. However, it is just that my heartbreaking need to have another child is stronger than the need to give in and take the meds. If I take them I have to stop the IVF and that is just an unbearable thought for me right now. Whilst I'm not on meds I do have a lot of cognitive therapy going on. That is what keeps me afloat I think.

Also, I have some idea where you are coming from with the OCD as both my husband and I have been diagnosed with it. He really fears the germs etc and is also constantly checking himself a million times over with everything related to work. (Though he's really well now)

I do have problems with germs but my real issue is tidiness and order. I was getting so ahead of myself that I was doing my big house clean a day earlier all the time to make sure "it got done". Let's just say I wound up doing everything every day and running myslef ragged. My anxiety comes from worrying about how I'll get everything done in time etc, and done perfectly. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I feel like I can't control the baby situation so I have to control everything else that I can.

I can't bear a single thing to be out of place whereas my husband is fine with that.

It is true that they do get sick often for a while when they first go into care. Harry had a different cold each week for the first few months but after that I think his immunity was built up and he was fine. Now he just suffers the occasional illness as he would if I kept him home. I hope that doesn't scare you but I thought you might want to know what to expect.

I admire you for even looking into the day care when it directly challenges your fears. That shows real strength. I would visit lots of different centres until you find one that you are really happy with. That was what I did and I specifically asked about washing hands, the handling of food etc. Let's face it you pay good money so you have every right to know everything.

You are doing a fantastic job.
