Well, I've been married 37 years now, so there have been a lot of Valentine gifts -- but the one that I remember most was actually the worst. Hubby and I had been married only 4 years, and we decided to surprise each other that year. What I wanted was a new light fixture for the entryway, but he surprised me instead with a new pair of Adidis running shoes. Boy, was I disappointed! Hubby wanted rollers for his bike so he could train inside. I surprised him instead with an old beat-up wooden desk from my office that I thought he might enjoy refinishing and putting in the den. He hated it. We don't surprise each other anymore. This year I'm giving him a sweater and he's giving me a bottle of Oscar. BORING!
