Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | GAS absorbing cuttable shoe insoles in a pinch

You heard me right! Sandwich an odor absorbing trim to fit shoe insole vent holes side toward you between 2 pair of firm fitting underwear, wider end in line with your gas exit area. Boom, an instant gas helper, while normalizing your digestive tract. Gas happens at the end of the day streaming throughout a few hours, if things aren't in sync with drinking enough water through the day especially. By that time, it's occuring all of a sudden;Terrible if on a date etc..There are thinner and expensive disposible or washable gas (fart) pad underwear inserts, but not in a physical store right away to buy. I'm surprised there aren't charcoal infused disposible sanitary napkins or adult diapers with odor absorption to buy in a physical store either, so hence my idea. Who knows how long the online reusable (washable) charcoal infused mensus pads on line keep their odor absorbing ability, and not long enough to cover high enough behind/above and in front at both ends, where gas can escape. Baking soda infused products aren't as good at absorbing odors. You can internally take charcoal capsules, but not in time to help with initial unexpected gas. Besides, the directions say to take them a few hours away from food. How does one do that if eating small frequent meals..You can, if taken in the middle of the night when using the bathroom. It's not like you have to drink alot to take charcoal tabs before going back to bed thank goodness. The insole idea is just part of my emergency arsenal, even though I'm a veteran at dealing with my IBS for 20+ years
