Okay I have been suffering from IBS for ever before I knew it was IBS. I am in pain all the time...All the time. Imagine my happiness when I found that there were other people who knew what I am going through. I mean I am not happy other people are sufferng but you know what I mean. . ANYWAY I bought the book..and I am confused because the book says to eat FRENCH bread and sourdough only. The french bread i have bought and all the french bread that I have seen at the stores all have WHEAT FLOUR in them. I thought from my reading of the IBS recipe that i am not supposed to have WHEAT bread...which makes me wonder about WHEAT flour because I am sure that is used to make WHEAT bread...Also it says in the book to snack on honeycombs and I am wondering about that because honeycombs have to have artificial sweeteners. Also I thought I could have chicken, fish and turkey so how come the book says to use TVP in place of ground beef..coudlnt I use turkey? Lastly, the book says use fat-free mayo, but unless it is vegan mayo all mayo has egg yolks. Oh and the book says stay away from cold drinks then it says drink ICE tea for traveling..I guess what I am saying is im confused and it seems there may be some contradictions in the book..or im misunderstanding something. I am in a lot of pain and I just want to do this right.
