It's ages since I posted and over the years my IBS D has got worse - it has proceeded to what my Dr called 'flushing' which was making my life intolerable. I have recently been to see a new gastroenterologist who has put me on Questran Lite (a rather disgusting concoction like drinking weak lemon flavored sand) and I am so much better. I haven't had a accident in 3 months, stools are firm, I still go up to 5 times a day but the best thing is I can wait - the urgency is virtually gone.
What I am wondering is why and how does this work? I haven't had my gall bladder out and have never had much pain with my IBS D - just occasional cramping. Could my gall bladder not be working properly? I can't see this new Dr for a few months so I'd love to know if anyone else has had a similar experience
