Callie, I was there where you are about 19 years ago. I had so many absences from school, but luckily I was able to do my homework and be there for tests. My friends did kid around, but I knew they loved me. It got a bit much sometimes.
Back then, my doctors didn't really know too much about IBS, and I was ignorant. I didn't realize why I was on the toilet all the time. I mean, I was eating the same as all of my friends! "Well THERE'S your problem," I know now.
See what you can do with the food in your house, even if that means cooking for yourself separately. You can do it, and you should. Maybe make a list of the foods that are good for IBS and present it to your parents. They might have a change of heart when they see it's not "special" food at all. Do most of the work for them, so they don't have to.
