Yeast seems to/does bother me and I believe I am yeast intolerant. It causes me to bloat, get gassy and feel very uncomfortable. Yeast and yeast extracts are hidden ingredients in a lot of processed foods. It drives me crazy to have to read all labels all the time. If I eat something processed and feel uncomfortable after, I can almost guarantee the food had yeast, or a form of yeast in the ingredients, and sure enough, I look at the label, and voila! I have just resigned myself to either eat what I want and suffer the effects after, or just not bother going there at all. After being on a regimented diet for so long, I don't miss bread like I used to. I also buy yeast-free millet bread, and it is pretty good.

Heather's diet, as such, didn't help me with the allowances of yeast, but I know for some it has helped very much. When I gave up all grains and sugar for a time, I also felt 100% better. I believe my symptoms are fungus related. I just feel better when I don't eat those foods. I eat them now, in moderation, and do OK as long as I don't eat them in abundance. I take natural antifungals from time to time, along with probiotics regularly, and it definitely helps me.
