It seems some are really looking for a 'diagnosis' rather than 'solutions'. For me a diagnostic label doesn't help me at all. I need to eat foods that calm my own personal 'gut'and still are palatable. I am open to what has worked for others, though hate all of the diagnostic talk that means little or nothing to me.

Prebiotics, live Probiotics, Tummy Tamer, and teas work for me to overcome a flare. From there I go to soy, rice, and other things to re-stabilize before I eat other 'grownup people food'.

Why in the world would anyone REALLY need to know a diagnosis that may or may not be helpful at ALL in learning one's own personal path to recovery, and by 'recovery' I mean 'stability' ?!

Does a bunch of tests and an 'official' diagnosis REALLY help solve the problem once polyps and/or a tumor has been ruled out??? I think not.

Best to be less 'temporal' and more relaxed. We become what we focus on and who we hang out with, without a doubt!

Finding a hobby to work on is better than tripping and stressing about IBS, and perhaps enjoying a more meaningful purpose in life. Having a pet also helps give purpose and lends for companionship and 'warm fuzzies'.
