What Amytriptyline did to me       11/10/09 09:14 AM Edit Reply Quote goldiloks72 Reged: 07/28/09 Posts: 68 I am done. I have been on the Amytriptyline for almost two months. It hasn't done much for my symptoms AND it made me feel really cloudy and somewhat depressed. When I was on this med I was overly sensitive and burst into tears for no good reason. To some it up it made me feel like I had PMS for about a month and a half! SO I have cut the dose in half and I am weaning myself off! I may as well have all my IBS symptoms and feel great mentally rather then take something that makes me feel lousy and doesn't work. Julie Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
