I had the same situation as you (but no upper GI probs, just lower, with LOTS of gas).
I don't eat after 7pm and avoid any fruits or veggies that are red, yellow or green, or contain seeds. They are my enemy.
I take Imodium Advanced (loperamide plus gas relieving Simethicone) when I wake, BEFORE I eat, and BEFORE bedtime.
I sleep withing NOTHING around my waist (no elastic, underwear, pants with drawstring, etc.) THIS has cut down my night attacks AND morning attacks by 80%!!
Good luck, and try it. Post back and tell us what you think! It sounds crazy, but those lifestyle factors have helped me so tremendously, I wish I'd discovered them when I was younger. No telling how better my High School years would have gone...
