No major advice here, but I would see another doctor. If your current GI can't help find someone else. Don't just accept his IBS diagnosis w/o his confidence. My GI was NO HELP WHATSOEVER! Turned out I had rectal prolapse (finally figured it out on my own), but he kept telling me I was perfectly healthy no matter how much I told him I wasn't. I finally saw a colon surgeon who was MUCH more helpful. So look for a new doc. I'd recommend a colon surgeon. They know they're stuff a little better. HTH.
