Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I know that there are alot of new faces on the boards. I am one of the "oldies" but haven't posted in awhile. I was just wondering if anyone has had problems switching their AD medication. I have decided to go off of Lexapro which I have been on for over a year and switcht o Wellbutrin. Part of the reason was my libido has been greatly affected due to the Lexapro. It has been great for my IBS but my marriage is just as important. Anyways I started taking the Wellbutrin 3 weeks ago just once a day while still taking my Lexapro 10mg. Then the next week I went to half a pill of the Lexapro with the Wellbutrin. Then the 3rd week just took the Wellbutrin. Well 2 days ago was about the 5th day off the Lexapro completely and oh my god I thought I was in another world! I was zoned, shaky, nausea, pounding headache, and just felt overall crappy. The same thing happened yesterday so I called my doctor. He told me that is "normal" withdrawl and to go back on the Lexapro 1/2 tablet for a week and then do every other day for a week and see how it works.
Ok... fine but holy crap I did not like feeling the way I did the last two days. Especially with my two little ones at home. I did a search about Lexapro withdrawl symptoms and let's just say all the things I found were not very pleasant. Last night I could not sleep and tossed and turned all night with night sweats. I just wanted to vent a bit and see if anyone else has similar experiences. Thanks...
