All I know is they could never figure out what was causing his symptoms so they just told him he had IBS. No they have not been supportive in the least. And a leave of abscense is out of the question they won't even believe somethings wrong with him. And his GI has been the worst Dr I have ever encountered. I hope he can get a new specialist at some point but I know this will take a really long time and I doubt they will be much more helpful.. We're in Calgary AB... I must say I have little to no faith in our medical system anymore. Also he's lucky if he can walk from our bedroom to the couch somedays he's in so much pain.
