LOL: Your all American dances!       12/22/03 05:37 AM Edit Reply Quote Shellsbells Reged: 12/16/03 Posts: 218 Loc: NW England, UK I just love hearing about the dances you have over there! When I was at school/college (in the UK) there was no annual dance - just a leaver's 'disco' (cringe). For any party like this there was NEVER any pressure to have a date to go with - groups of friends go together, have fun, act a little crazy and (as soon as you can get away with it, get drunk)! People get up and dance in groups, there's none of this asking someone to dance - it's more like going to a nightclub with a group of pals. There are no formal dresses/evening wear - just normal party/clubbing type outfits. The first time I experienced anything like a formal dance was the Finals 'ball' when I finished Uni at 21. Your way sounds much more romantic and exciting in a way (but also more depressing if the love of your life has another date to take!) Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
