I have always been able to drink gatorade, but that is just me. Unless you are throwing up, I am not sure why the nurse suggested the gatorade. I would personally try ginger tea. Ginger is great for nausea. Use fresh ginger root and put it in boiling water. Also saltine crackers helped me alot. Try to eat small meals every 2 hours so that your tummy is not empty.
