Radiated pain from IBS

I was diagnosed with IBS about 15 years ago and until my recent bout with gall bladder attacks and having that removed I never experienced the chest/shoulder pain I have since the attacks. In working with my GI doctor to find the cause of my now severe IBS since surgery, these attacks of pain are relentless. I researched and found something called Costochondritis (an inflammation of muscle/cartilage in and around the ribcage/shoulder area) to be something that can be related to IBS/gall bladder attacks and is sometimes called a "radiated pain". I am trying to see if anyone else has such symptoms and a diagnosis of this. I have actually been told by 1 doctor I saw to "suck it up - it just muscle pain". He told me take Aleve daily and that would get rid of the pain - and he was wrong. And after that, I was feeling like no one could relate to what I am going through. Thank goodness my GI doctor is narrowing down the cause, but the waiting is killing me. If anyone has symptoms of this due to IBS or other GI diseases, I would LOVE to hear from you.
