I've got the car accident blues!
I dragged myself to my mom's to celebrate by bro's birthday, with his 6 year-old Alex, and my mom HIT ME IN THE BACK when I asked if we were having meatloaf. Uh, that was the CAKE. Whoops, candles should have given it away...
So the candles were lit, I was singing, and she passed behind me and HIT ME in the spine with her closed fist. (!!!) My back is KILLING ME, and it's 8 days later. Sux. 
I see the back doctor for my monthly appointment tomorrow. He told me the whiplash would get worse before it got better, and this definitely counts. It's been 9 weeks since my car accident, and it feels like I have a foot-long bruise along my spine. Wearing a bra is out of the question, so I just shuffle around the apartment, holding my boobs, trying not to trip over the dog or take too deep a breath. 
Let's hope the doctor gives me lots of lovely knockout pills, so I can share as I take my mother swimming...
