Oh, I'm so sorry. I lost my dog the same way. I watched her die...they think of a heart attack or stroke. It was awful. That was 7 years ago and it's still awful. It took me weeks to get better though. I kept thinking she was under my feet when I walked.
This will get better but it'll take time. Allow yourself to grieve.
