Since I am predominantly C I tried to stay away from the painkillers I was given post gallbladder surgery. I did take some the first day, but it also made me feel a little "woozy" whick I didn't like so I just took extra strength Tylenol. I didn't seem to have as much pain as some people have had though. So I could tolerate just the Tylenol. I think that I had been so miserable before the surgery that the post surgery pain was nothing compared to what I had been dealing with for a year and a half! Anyway, I have also used Miralax with success and try to drink lots of water. Good luck - hope you're feeling better. Believe me, I know what it's like to be constipated - no fun :-(
