Hey there,
I am so sorry that I didn't see this post when you first put it up, before the update so I could be here to offer you more words of support. I can't imagine how difficult this whole situation has been for you, and you are just one tough cookie to make it through everything you have and still have that sense of humour in there somewhere.
I hope BF has come around a little, tell him check out is not available at this time. 
On the brighter side of things, I am so glad that you got to see a doctor who actually seems to get it! And who gives it, it terms of drugs! Thank goodness for this new doctor and I really hope that finding her is just the first step in really being able to identify and treat what is happening.
My thoughts are with you and I'll be checking in on you, young lady!
