Prayers needed.... Shane's Mom is in the hospital... she is not doing well at all... it's that nasty "C" word.... We have been in Enterprise, OR since Sat morning and we are staying again tonight... then we drive home Tues , will work Wed-Fri and fly out Fri night and back home Sun... repeat again the following weekend if she hangs on that long Shane & his brother are on a "blood run" now... this is the 3rd trip needed this weekend... she has a rare blood type and we are in such a small town that there just is not any fast way of getting it.... but she does not want to be transferred to another hospital. The normal human body has 450,000 platelets (what helps the blood clot) and Sat she only had 5,000 and Sun she had 7,000 after given two units... the Chemo is what is killing the cells. She is very weak... she has not been able to keep any food down for 6 days now and is throwing up bile....
I got sick late Fri night.... so I saw her from the entrance of her door with a mask on... and I have not been back since because she is so susceptible to infection..... so it's been really hard to not be there I know how hard this is for Shane and to not be there with him is really hard.
She really thought she was going to die on Sat... she told Shane & I her "wishes" for the service etc.... so sad....
