Last year my eyes became more red and just felt dry. I attributed it to working on the computer more and reading more. When I went to see the ophthalmologist, he said I had dry-eye. I got some drops and had to use a lot of them for several months. Since then, things are better...except when I spent too much time on the computer. Doc said that when you're on the computer, you don't blink as much as you normally would and that will dry your eyes out.

I don't know if that's what you're experiencing but I thought I'd chime in.
