... when you're on any type of BC pill, you're really not having a period because you're not ovulating. You're just having withdrawal bleeding. The pill is designed to try to match your "natural" cycle, which is why there's three weeks of pills and one week of no pills. The week of no pills, you're having withdrawal from the lack of hormones, which causes bleeding.

Until a few weeks ago, I had been taking BC continuously for two years, and hadn't had a single "period" during that time. It was great, and I felt great, too!!
