Hi Barbie!! Thanks... I'm so happy for your DIL... I wish her the best. I did the lap band not the gastric....but still the eating is still going to be tricky in the begining.... I'm still on all liquids until Fri...then I get mushie foods.... so I will not start "chewing" small bites until the 20th.... I've already got a set of very small knife, fork, & spoon... they are so cute!!

I've been away for awhile, too, but I still check the posts from time to time.

Just wanted you to know that my DIL had bariatric bypass surgery several years ago and it was the best thing that ever happened to her. She lost tons of weight and feels great. The hardest part was that you have to remember to eat very, very small amounts at first. Then she worked up to a child's size plate.
