(Got fired too!)       12/09/03 09:15 PM Edit Reply Quote TessLouise Reged: 01/21/03 Posts: 540 Loc: Nashville, TN Ruchie, I replied on the other board about avoiding antibiotics but I forgot to mention one conventional-medicine idea...my nurse-practitioner put me on Flonase (nasal antihistimine) to PREVENT future sinus infections by preventing the allergy-related fluid buildup that offers the bacteria a place to breed. If your illness is even possibly allergy-related, this might be worth considering because it's not an oral medication and it might prevent the need for antibiotics--does that make sense? If you'd rather explore more natural allergy treatment options, search www.drweil.com for ideas--I know he offers some but right now I'm going for what my insurance will cover .
