I was wondering if you have had any MRIs done since the accidents? Sometimes when people have bad accidents involving concussions and the like, they end up with spinal conditions that can cause IBS and migraines. I'm specifically referring to Syringomyelia and Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome. You can read about these conditions at asap.org or even read about them at wikipedia.org.
I ended up with syringomyelia and tethered cord, which caused my IBS. (The nerves which controlled my bowels were being affected--not sure why I get the migraines.) I am working on finding a NS now who can do the detethering surgery for me.
