whine about work--long

Y'all have heard this before, but I need to vent.

I called in sick to work this morning and got chewed out by my supervisor because "now she'll have to rush to get ready to cover my classroom." Is it my fault she doesn't have a substitute to call? Is it normal for the director to sub for a sick teacher?

She also said, "I come into work all the time when I'm not feeling my best. It's what adults do."

I mean, she was such a jerk I finally said, "Fine, I'll come in, this isn't worth arguing with you over." And she said, "No, you can't," and hung up.

I just hung up the phone and started crying and crying. She makes me feel about 3 inches tall.

I went BACK to the nurse-practitioner and got a note excusing me from work today. (I also missed Monday and went to see the n-p then and got antibiotics.) But I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Thinking about going back to work makes me feel sick. If I had any other job prospects, I'd happily never speak to my supervisor again. But we're moving in May for the boyfriend's grad school, and I need to stick this out till then.

Okay, done whining.
