I had mono when I was quite a bit younger. The thing is, I had strep so many times as a kid that I was very sure that's what I had, even though it had been years... I got suspicious when the sore throat didn't go away after a week. If you've had it for a while, it's probably mono.

Either way, get your rest. If it turns out to be mono, be good and sleep and you might be pleasantly surprised to kick it pretty quickly. I was sick for months, but friends of mine only had it for a week or so.
