I have found so many contradicting opinions from person to person, from doc to doc, from book to book. The only "right" answer is the one that works for you.
Don't worry about what the doctors think of you, or anyone else for that matter. What's most important is your health. And if you need to go through a dozen docs to find one who will work with you, there's nothing wrong with that.
